The breakfast buffet is a great way to start off the day. Excellent food with a friendly and efficient staff. And get a table outside if you can.

Really disappointed in this place. It's attached to a high-end hotel and has the appearance of being somewhat formal dining.... but it sucks. Not only is the menu super limited, all wines are pretty much by the bottle, but the seafood was also frozen. I don't mind eating frozen seafood, if it's reflected in the price. But for $34 a plate, and it is advertised as "fresh"... no way. Spend your money on another resatuarnt like conch house, marker 88, or islamorada fish company. All of those would be WAY better choices for quality and value of food. Only positive about this place was the unique butter that came with the bread and the view of the water.

Needed a quick lunch on Thanksgiving, staying at the Marriott and chose to dine at Gus'. Nice views, both indoor and out. Service was very good, and our server was charming. Appetizers ok- quesadilla was good, but a little soggy; conch fritters were overdone. Kids' pizzas were a disappointment- tomato chunks on margherita pizza were clearly straight from a can, and covered most of the pie. Blackened mahi sandwich was lacking in flavor and texture- very little blackening seasoning on the small filets (asked for more to try and salvage it, but texture was still off-putting. Wife's lobster bisque, however, was very good. Expected better quality food for these prices: May try again (different selections) tomorrow, but we will have many more dining options tomorrow.

We stayed at the Marriott so we were given free breakfast coupons- like most buffets everything is cold , under cooked or over cooked. Can't go wrong with toast and fresh fruit. Another morning we waited 5 minutes to be seated, finally we sat ourselves. The wait staff basically walked around us. No one took the initiative to ask us if we needed anything, after sitting there for 5 minutes with no service we left. Staff needs cross training- they all looked at us like "that's not my table" . So I don't have much of an opinion about the food because we not served. Extremely poor service!

I breakfasted here for a few days. The buffet was quite good and had good variety. Most notably the service was outstanding. Barbara exceeded all expectations and provided personal service. The view was great. The restaurant was very clean.

I'm mixed here. It was the best food we had in Key Largo. Fish tacos be crab cake get 4 stars but the cocktails were disgusting. Tried 4 different types, how can you screw up a mojito? I thought a corona would be a safe bet but the bottle had soap on the top. Nice atmosphere on the beach though. Would be back for food.

Food was much better then expected. The decor in the restaurant needs some update I guess but it is clean and the service good.

View: Spectacular. Can see for miles over the bay. Boats. Paddleboarders. It's truly chill. Drinks: The margaritas are good, but nothing that makes them unique to this restaurant. Food: Please do yourself a favor and get anything but the lobster bisque. I like my bisque with crackers to add some substance to the liquid, but they have no saltines or chowder crackers at the restaurant. The lobster bits were taut, chewy and tasted like soppy crumpled paper. I've had dozens of lobster bisque and this one is definitely my least favorite. Went around 4pm. Not a lot of people in sight but that adds to the laid back, Key Largo vibe that they are going for. I'd go again and try something different. Prices weren't outrageous. And the hotel looks nice.

Gus's Grille is okay. It is not great food, but convenient if you are staying at the Marriott. In addition at the Marriott, there were really no other breakfast places to chose from. The food was good and the service was acceptable. There is really nothing to complain or even rave about. It is just like the rating claims " A-OK." The prices are good, $17 for an all you can eat buffet.

You get waterfront view! There are indoor and outdoor seating. Very limited amount of outdoor seating. We arrive around 8am and there were no hot water for tea or hot chocolate. Very weird how this was the easiest thing to make and they do not have. The next thing that was not available was mushroom and shrimps and grits. I feel a resort like this should have everything ready by open of business. Their omelet, coffee and variety of selections were good. Their service was good the waiter was friendly.

We stayed at the Key Largo Marriott for almost a week and ate at Gus' Grille twice for dinner and twice for lunch. We were very surprised and impressed with their food! We absolutely loved the Firecracker shrimp and Crabcakes. Their chicken quesadilla was good as well, but shadowed in comparison to the other two appetizers. The only actual entree we tried was the Grouper Martinique, but substituted their garlic mashed potatoes in place of their rice. It was very good and also included a crabcake. We tried two different desserts over the course of our stay as well. The Banana Caramel Xango that was amazing.....and I'm normally a chocolate dessert person only! The other was the Spoon Cake that was also fantastic and all chocolate goodness. You can't go wrong sitting in the different locations around the hotel. All the food comes from the same kitchen whether you order it poolside, beachside, room service, or on the balcony at Gus' Grille. The staff is friendly, the view is lovely, especially at sunset, and you won't be disappointed.

View was nice but the best part of the lunch was going down to the cabana and laying on the hammock for an hour or two...that was heavenly. The food was unremarkable by all standards.

You can't beat the view...soo beautiful at sunset! Steak was good, my son loved the pizza and the conch chowder was delicious. The servers are super friendly too. When you're at the Marriott pool order the chicken tenders - yummy! But be careful if you're eating on the beach...the iguanas are pretty aggressive. :-)

Fantistic view. The food was fantistic. The service was great. The view at sunset was out of this world. The dining experience was so good we went back the second night.

Gus's grill is located inside the marriot resort. We did not stay there so i am not sure if it is the hotel restaurant or not. We had lunch there. Menu was not very extensive. View was nice and food just ok. Service was good Nothing really to go crazy over

I may be a fan simply because of my meal- I had the lobster ravioli and a slice of dulce de leche cheesecake for dessert the second night of our stay at the Marriott nearby. Unfortunately, my standards for seafood containing the words "lobster" and "crab" are usually not that high because of the lack of substance, but the lobster ravioli at Gus's Grille had HUGE chunks of lobster enveloped in tasty ravioli and a light but creamy seafood sauce. The mood throughout dinner was practically orgasmic. I didn't think it would get much better until I had the cheesecake, but I walked home very happy that evening. To top it all off, you are sitting ocean-side at almost any seat in the restaurant. This meal itself would deserve five stars, but unfortunately I docked one off for the whole restaurant because the breakfast was so-so. The potatoes that came with my omelet were cold when I received them and the omelet was extremely salty. On the plus side, the freshly-squeezed orange juice was delicious, but that should be expected of Florida.

Enjoyed two breakfast's and one late night dinner here and enjoyed each meal. For dinner I ordered the calamari appetizer. I think it was called Tropical Calamari - OMG it had to be the best calamari dish I have ever had and I have tried many! My husband enjoyed his pasta and shrimp dinner also. The wait staff was very attentive and fun and our dinner there was a real pleasure! We dined al fresco which added to the ambience.

Gus's Grille is the oceanfront restaurant at the Marriott Key Largo Bay Resort. We stayed there 2 nights recently and were very surprised at the quality of food and service at the restaurant. I have always been a fan of Marriott's foodservice and this very nice spot is no exception. We had dinner and two breakfasts there. The dinner was really superb, with a beautiful outside seat overlooking the Key Largo Bay, a menu of fine seafood dishes and steak, and very friendly and efficient service. All the entries were excellent. I ordered the Macadamia Crusted Mahi-Mahi and loved it. My wife had the filet and my son the Lobster Ravioli. All were "two thumbs up"! I'd recommend it highly if you are in the area, or as a nice stop on your way to the lower keys.
